Cynthia Erivo, Misty Copeland Duet ‘No Good Deed’ for ‘Wicked: For Good’

Misty Copeland and Cynthia Erivo are back at it again.

Tony winner and legendary ballerina reunited for a live show of the song “No Good Deed”, featured in the film “Wicked: For Good”, ahead of the film's November 21 release.

In the clip, Copeland dances around Erivo while the Grammy-winning singer performs a stripped-down version of the tune.

For the performance, Erivo wore a stunning green backless dress that paid homage to her Evil character Elphaba, while Copeland donned a flowy champagne dress.

At the end of the video, which was posted on the official YouTube accounts of “Wicked: For Good” and Universal Pictures, the friends smiled and hugged each other.

Copeland and Erivo also shared a phenomenal video of their Instagram accounts, where they received rave reviews.

“You gathered these two masters of their craft in one room?! 😍,” one person wrote.

“Obsessed,” said another.

A third added: “This power couple I knew I always needed 🩰👏🏼🤍.”

Ten years ago, the couple previously performed as a duet in “impromptu collaboration” which Copeland also shared this on Instagram in 2024. In the video, she danced in a ballet studio in a flowing pink dress while Erivo accompanied her on vocals.

“An unforgettable moment with @cynthiaerivo! 🩰 Congratulations on an incredible performance #Wicked✨,” Copeland wrote.

In October Copeland retired from the role of principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre. Although she is no longer part of the troupe, dance is still close to her heart.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Copeland said she plans to “continue performing in some capacity.” IN statement from the American Ballet Theatre, Copeland added that her retirement is “not goodbye.”

“I could never have imagined the kind of life ballet would give me,” Copeland said at the time.

“This moment is not a goodbye, it is a celebration of everything we have built together and a step towards all the work that is still ahead,” she added.
