Caitlin Clark hits the links with Nelly Korda, thrills fans at LPGA pro-am

WNBA star Caitlin Clark Once again she put the basketball down and picked up the golf club. The Indiana Fever guard returned to Pelican Golf Club to compete in the LPGA Annika pro-am.

Clarke started Wednesday morning along with Dan Taurisse and Jordan Jackson. She was paired with a two-time LPGA Major Winner Nelly Korda on the first few holes. Korda recalled a pleasant experience she had with Clark on a golf course in Florida.

“That first T-shirt was almost straight out of a book. But it's so much fun. It's great to see how many people she brings together in another sport,” the world's No. 2 women's golfer told reporters.

Clark showed off her swing, hitting the putt about 35 feet, The Palm Beach Post reported. The shot drew applause from the crowd and the two-time WNBA All-Star.

After finishing her day on the course, Clarke spoke about the challenging nature of golf.

“Golf is a tough game,” Clark said. “When you're an amateur, you go to the field and some days your results are really good. And some days your results are really bad.

“And sometimes your driving is really good. And sometimes your driving is really bad. It never feels like you have it all working right away, but you just kind of figure it out and have fun. I don't take golf seriously. I enjoy it.”

Clark's time on the basketball court in 2025 was limited due to a series of injuries.

In September, Clarke announced that she had been eliminated from the competition. the rest of the season. She had already been sidelined since July 15 when she suffered a groin injury in a game against the Connecticut Sun.

But Clark said she has made a full recovery and plans to compete in the 2026 Women's Basketball World Cup.

“Feeling 100% right now, so I’m trying to take advantage of the fall weather in Indianapolis before it gets too cold,” the 24-year-old said, via The Palm Beach Post.
