President Donald Trump issued an executive order harsh post on social networks Friday against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who said he was “withholding his support and endorsement” of a man who had previously been one of his closest allies.
The announcement represents a significant rift in the president's MAGA coalition. In recent weeks, Greene has questioned Trump's priorities. IN NBC News interview In a “Truth in Social Network” post published just hours before, Greene criticized Trump for spending so much time on foreign policy rather than his “America First” agenda.
In his refusal of Green Trump boasted that the US was now the “HOTTEST” country in the world thanks to his achievements, and suggested that Greene was simply going after him for political gain.
“All I see 'Wacky' Marjorie do is complain, complain, complain!” Trump posted in Truth Socialclaiming Greene was also upset that he discouraged her from running for Senate or governor.
She “didn't stand a chance (unless she had my approval – which she wasn't going to get!),” Trump wrote.
“She has told many people that she is upset that I no longer answer her phone calls, but with 219 congressmen/women, 53 US senators, 24 cabinet members, almost 200 countries, and a normal life that I can lead, I can’t answer Sleepwalker’s rants every day,” he added.
In response Green announced this in a post on his social network. that Trump “attacked me and lied about me.”
Greene suggested that Trump was upset about the reopening of the Jeffrey Epstein case. Next week The House of Representatives prepares to vote force the Justice Department to release all of its files against the late financier and convicted sex offender who was friends with powerful government officials, including Trump.
“It's actually amazing how hard he fights to keep the Epstein files from being released and that he actually got to this point.” Green wrote on X. “But in fact, most Americans would like to see him fight so hard to help the forgotten men and women of America who are tired of foreign wars and foreign affairs, going broke trying to feed their families, and losing hope of ever achieving the American Dream.”
“I supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost every other Republican turned around and denounced him,” she added. “But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump. I worship God, Jesus is my savior, and I serve my GA14 district and the American people.”
Trump also suggested Friday night that he would potentially back Greene's primary challenger in her congressional district.
Greene, once one of Trump's staunchest allies, has become an unlikely critic. She broke up with him over issues like Obamacare Subsidies at the heart of the recently ended government shutdown, foreign policy and attempts to force the administration release Epstein files.
Greene, who said Trump personally inspired her to run in 2022, was first elected to office in 2020. Last year Green easily held in placegaining more than 64% of the vote in his district.
