A sci-fi journey awaits in Puzzle Parasite
Wrenfall, a young indie studio from Sweden, has announced the release date of its debut game Puzzle Parasite. The sci-fi puzzle adventure, built on the combination of telekinetic powers and a durable cricket bat, will arrive on Steam on December 3, 2025. The team includes experienced developers from Playdead, Ubisoft, Enix Square, IO Interactive, CarsGamesAnd Riot Gamesand shapes a project that combines inventive design and impeccable execution. Their goal is a game that will feel familiar to fans of the genre, but will also offer a new perspective on solving environmental problems.
Puzzle Parasite takes inspiration from famous classic puzzle games such as Portal, The Talos Principal and Antichamber. Its world is set on an alien planet where players manipulate the environment by striking or directing energy cores. And all this while activating mysterious technology and moving along changing paths of light. Each area encourages experimentation as players move deeper into the planet's hidden structures. Here, the mysteries gradually connect with the history hidden beneath the surface. Careful timing, spatial awareness and creative thinking form the core of the experience.
In addition to a full single-player mode, the game includes a special two-player co-op campaign. This mode promotes close coordination as couples try to combine their abilities and approaches in ways that create new solutions. This adds a layer of shared discovery that complements the solo journey.
Co-founder Gustave Bouvin describes Puzzle Parasite as a project born out of years of admiration for the genre. He explains that the team focused on creating new mechanics that simultaneously encouraged curiosity, and then expanded it into a series of puzzles designed to surprise players as they progressed.
Puzzle Parasite will release on Steam for $14.99, with a limited 15% discount available at release.
