Most of the attention on Rockstar posts isGTA 6's second delay rightly focused on their sudden dismissal of 31 employeesfor which the IWGB accused the company of undermining the union.
However, despite all this, the video game making machine continues to grind, and GTA Online continues to receive the additions that Take-Two said would happen once they fixed this latest delay. GTA 5The online element/cash cow skin has long been a playground where regular people like you or me can bring to life a still somewhat satirical look at the fantastical lifestyles of super-rich criminals, so it's honestly a little strange that it's taken Rockstar so long to add mansions.
As stated in the last Rockstar News Feed Postthese large houses will be renovated this December. At this point, I would ask you to briefly return to the tagline of this article. It's almost certain that a GTA Online character may currently own several suitable living, or at least sleeping, spaces, which I've excluded from this list.
The game's economy, the prices of new additions inflated to compensate for years of heists and business by more dedicated players, and truckloads of real money spent by others, have long since become, almost accidentally, a perfect parody of the real world.
Now, after years of living in generic houses or tacky penthouses, the biggest whales are ready to take the next step you would take in real life. Buying a massive house filled with monuments to your glory so you can live in the kind of cartoonish decadence historically reserved for monarchs, major religious figures, robber barons and investment bankers. Nobody needs a mansion in GTA Online. I'm quite sure that many of those who buy them will soon stop setting foot in them, preferring to sleep under the desk in the office or simply not pretend to sleep at all. I'm still not sure if this will be just human nature or a masterfully purposeful satire that GTA Online players will play.
If you log into GTA Online this month, you'll be able to complete three new missions for people to sell mansions. These new missions, called “New Lists”, include eliminating squatters, locating building materials, and motivating contractors. Meeting all three conditions will earn you a $2 million discount on your mansion. To put this in context, least luxurious yacht the game could cost you $6 million. Some business warehouses go for over $3 million. There's no word yet on how much the mansions will cost, but I'm dying to find out because I think I'll end up rolling on the floor laughing.
