I'm upset that Peacock canceled Poker Face after two seasons, according to reports Deadline.
Poker Face was a huge success for Rian Johnson. It received six Emmy nominations and one win and quickly became my favorite Natasha Lyonne series after the Netflix series. Russian doll.
They said: “We've been thinking about this next step together since we wrote the season two finale.
“We love our Poker Face and this is the perfect way to continue to develop it. Give us a little and we might see Charlie Cale on that open highway again.”
Johnson doesn't seem to want to stop with Dinklage either, as Deadline reports: “Long-term, Johnson hopes to see the franchise move forward with a new actor playing the title character every two years.”
I'm not sure about the future of Poker Face
I liked the first two seasons Poker Facebut I'm worried if the new cast will be as good as the original. We've seen Rian Johnson change his cast frequently with characters like Knives outand recently he admitted that he knew perfect continuation Wake up, dead manwhere the lineup is likely to change again.
But I'm worried Poker Face it wouldn't work without Lyonne's brilliant performance. Part of me wonders if they should create an entirely new character instead of trying to invent a new one.
We don't know yet whether a new version will be released Poker Face will go ahead, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm not sure it will be as good after I fell in love with Lyonne's character Charlie, so I'm sad for now Poker Face was cancelled, I'm also very wary of the series being revived.
As always, I'm glad to hear my words, but I don't think this is the right move for The series is Peacock and I wish I could have watched the third season instead.
