Stop telling women to smile. Millie Bobby Brown stood up for herself in Stranger Things last night in London, confidently answering the shouts of a group of photographers as she walked the red carpet.
As she posed on the carpet before the event, one photographer shouted, “Smile!” Brown quickly responded, “Smile? You are smiling! as she pointed at the photographers. She then left the carpet with obvious displeasure—and for good reason.
Cast Netflix the series, which comes to an end this year, had a special screening in London at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square. The screening came a week after Brown and her co-star David Harbor reunited at the premiere event following rumors of bullying and harassment at Stranger Things kit. Notably, Harbor was not present at the event last night.
Recently, That Daily mail reported that Brown allegedly filed a harassment and bullying claim against Harbor, who plays an adoptive father of sorts on the show, to producers of the hit Netflix show ahead of filming the final season. “There were pages and pages of allegations. Stranger Things will complete a two-part season this fall. The first four episodes of the season will air on November 26, with three more premiering on Christmas Day. A two-hour final event will take place on New Year's Eve. Coinciding with the Netflix release, there will be a theatrical release of the final episode, which fans will be able to watch in real life with other fans.
Brown thought about end Stranger Things in a recent interview with Diversitysaying, “I cried more than I expected. Even though I was personally and professionally in the moment when the show came to an end, I realized that at that moment the ending was so real and I may not have been emotionally ready.”
