President Donald Trump paused a busy day in the Oval Office to greet visiting children, hand out small gifts and say, “My name is Donald,” in a sweet moment captured and posted online by communications adviser Margot Martin.
The short clip, viewed hundreds of thousands of times within hours of its release, struck a lighter note during a busy news cycle as the government shutdown ends, giving both supporters and critics a glimpse of a softer side of the president.
The video received nearly 500,000 views within two hours of being posted on Martin X's account. Martin often shares behind-the-scenes footage of Trump that can't be seen anywhere else.
In the video, a voiceover says, “He wants to know your name.”

The video is the latest in a series of sweet moments Trump has shared with some of his youngest supporters, including coloring with children during an Easter roll earlier this year. He is grandfather of eleven grandchildren.
