Skip Lievsay Set For Cinema Audio Society’s 2026 Career Achievement Award

Film Audio Society will present his highest award Skip Livsay at the 62nd Annual CAS Awards in the spring. The Oscar winner and eight-time nominee will receive the 2026 Career Achievement Award on March 7.

The veteran recording artist took home the Sound Mixing Academy Award for Alfonso Cuaron's album. Gravity (2013) and received nominations for both sound mixing and sound editing for Cuaron's film. Roma (2018) and Coen brothers films True Grit (2010) and No country for old people (2007) along with the duo's nomination for the Sound Mixing Award. Inside Llewyn Davis (2013).

Other works of Lifsay during his Nice Guys, Silence of the Lambs and the Cohens Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski And The Tragedy of Macbeth. He is also a three-time CAS Award winner and three-time Emmy Award nominee, most recently for 4 little girls, he named me Malala And Frame: Michael J. Fox film.

Known for his nuanced, story-driven approach, CAS says he is constantly pushing the boundaries of what sound can achieve in film. He is also a mentor and advocate for good professionals, inspiring generations with his dedication to his craft.
