The company said it has sold 700 units of the rowing machine in Canada. The affected products were sold from November 2018 to April 2022.
As of November 5, 2025, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
“In the United States, the company has received eight reports of incidents, two reports of fire, and six reports of smoking or melting. There have been no reports of injuries,” the recall notice said.
Users are asked to immediately stop using and turn off the recalled rowing machines. They should contact iFitcar manufacturing company for free home repairs by an authorized technician in the form of a console screen replacement.
To find out if their product is affected by the recall, users can check the model number printed on the sticker affixed to the paddling base.
According to Health Canada, the recalled rowing machines are black, gray and white in color and have the word “NordicTrack” printed in black letters on the front legs. “RW900” is printed in white letters on the rear legs of the machine.
