Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer in a post on social media commented recently announced Steam Machine, Steam Frame VR Headset and Steam Controller from Valve.
He “welcomes new opportunities” for people wanting to access their library of games, and says Xbox is “one of the biggest publishers on Steam.”
“Gaming advances when players and developers have more opportunities to play and create, especially on open platforms,” Spencer said.
“Expanding access across PCs, consoles and handhelds reflects a future rooted in choice, the core values that have defined Xbox's vision from the beginning. As one of the largest publishers on Steam, we welcome new opportunities for players to access games everywhere. Congratulations on today's launch.”
Pricing for the Steam Machine, Steam Frame VR headset and controllers, and the new Steam Controller have not been announced. However, the goal is to begin delivering them “in early 2026.”
