The Simpsons season is all about talking Fortnite city right now, but this crossover event will only last four weeks. Before we know it, the Epic metaverse will move on to something else. And that something is Chapter 7, which will introduce a new battle royale season with a brand new map and a loot pool full of weapons we've never seen before.
The start of a new chapter is the biggest event in Fortnite every year, and there's no reason to expect this year to be any different. Let's take a look at what we know so far, which is actually more than usual.
When will Fortnite Chapter 7 start?
Chapter 7 is currently scheduled for the evening of November 29th, which is Saturday.
Will The Simpsons Chapter/Season 6 finale be live?
It definitely will. Right after the previous live event on November 1st, which introduced the Simpsons takeover, Fortnite tweeted a brief preview of the “Chapter End Event” on November 29th. We don't know exactly what it will entail, but it will at least give us the end of the story about what Homer does with the Zero Point shard.
Will Fortnite Chapter 7 have a new theme?
While the leaks and hints have been pretty vague so far, there have actually been enough to feel pretty confident about some general issues. Rumor has it that the Chapter 7 map will start with a distinctive Los Angeles flavor and will feature a desert biome. Moreover, many film-related collaborations are expected in the new season, including Harry Potter, Kill BillAnd James Bond.
Meanwhile, teasers continue to refer to Chapter 7 as “Chapter Seven” with a number, a stylistic choice that Fortnite has never made before. This has led to rampant speculation that Chapter 7 will mark the return of The Seven, those Avengers-like characters who haven't been seen since most of them were eaten by Chrom and Brie Larson's character blew herself up at the end of Chapter 3.
Epic co-founder and VP Mark Rein fanned those flames on November 7, tweeting the following:
You people just imagine things. Let's take a deep breath, count to 10 and let it go. So: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, SEVEN, 8, 9, 10. Do we feel better? Relaxation is the key! https://t.co/N9e52rUtwD

So it looks like the old Fortnite storyline will somehow return in Chapter 7.
New collaborations in Fortnite, Chapter 7
There have already been rumors of a number of collaborations in the upcoming season: Harry Potter, SpongeBob SquarePants, James Bond, Kill Bill and another wave of Demon Hunter KPop content.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 Battle Pass
Of all the collaborations mentioned above that were expected or rumored for Chapter 7, only Kill Bill was included on the list. teased directly from Epic for now. This makes the Bride, played in the films by Uma Thurman, a prime candidate to appear in the Battle Pass.
If Chapter 7 does bring back The Seven, then you can expect one or more members of that group to appear in the Battle Pass as well – these characters have been a common sight in Battle Passes for the first three chapters of Fortnite.
Fortnite Festival in Chapter 7
While player numbers haven't been that high lately, Festival is the only additional Fortnite mode that starts a new season on the same day as Chapter 7 Season 1, which could mean the upcoming Fortnite Festival season will be significant. In fact, there were already reasons to expect this. Over the past year, Harmonix has been gradually adding karaoke-style vocal track charts, as Rock Band did, to many of the existing songs in the files—though those charts are not yet playable—and Peripheral maker CRKD just announced a new drum kit for rhythm games many fans expect to work with Festival. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the second chapter of the Festival.
While the circumstantial evidence seems pretty strong for a major update to the Festival when Chapter 7 releases, there have been no specific leaks about Fortnite Festival Season 11 yet.
We'll continue to update this space as we learn more about Fortnite Chapter 7, or I think Chapter 7.
