Prince William makes his Strictly Come Dancing debut with a message for Robert Irvine
Prince William left his royal mark on the ballroom.
The Prince of Wales made a virtual appearance in the series' 20th anniversary episode. Dancing with the Stars November 11, amazing Robert Irwin and his dance partner Whitney Carson with a few words of encouragement.
“You guys have a really good chance of winning,” William said during the group's FaceTime call, which was shown in the dance duo's pre-performance video package. “So, good luck on the show.”
The scion also teased the wildlife activist for not being able to join him on Nov. 5 at the environmental conservation-themed Earthshot Prize ceremony in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
“We miss you, Robert,” William continued. “While your shiny toes start to twinkle somewhere else, I need you here.”
Turning to Whitney, he added: “You need to decorate it with as much glitter as possible.”
And while William's virtual message was an exciting surprise for Robert, it wasn't the only visitor he received this week. Indeed, his sister Bindi Irwin– who won the Mirrorball prize in 2015 with a dance partner Derek Hough— visited my brother with his 5-year-old daughter Grace Warrior.
