Get a Brand New 65″ Samsung S90 4K OLED TV for $1080, or a 77″ for $1498 Ahead of Black Friday

Woot (which is owned by Amazon) just scored some great OLED TV deals ahead of Black Friday. You can pick up Smart TV Samsung S90D with 65-inch screen and 4K OLED resolution for only $1,079.99. An even better deal is 77″ model for $1,497.99. Both TVs cost just $5 to ship, although Amazon Prime members can get free shipping. These are brand new TVs supposedly in retail packaging with a 1 year Samsung warranty. The S90D is one of Samsung's most premium OLED TVs, featuring a Quantum Dot OLED panel that delivers brighter, richer colors. This is comparable to LG's C-series OLED TVs.

Samsung S90D is the previous generation 2024 model. A new model “S90F” will be released in 2025, but it costs more than twice as much. The S90D features a higher-end OLED panel with quantum dots from Samsung. Quantum dot (or QD) OLED panels are brighter and have a wider color gamut than traditional W-OLED panels. Compared to a traditional LED-backlit LCD TV, an OLED TV offers superior picture quality, near-infinite black levels, near-infinite contrast ratios, and near-instant response times. For most use cases, there is nothing better if you are willing to pay for the technology.

Apart from OLED qualities, the Samsung S90D also has all the features you need in gaming tv. It has a built-in 120Hz panel that can be boosted up to 144Hz, as well as four HDMI 2.1 ports for running in 4K at 120Hz on PS5 or Xbox Series X. The S90D also supports variable refresh rate and automatic low latency mode.

Is this a good TV for Nintendo Switch 2?

Even though this is a current generation console, Nintendo Switch 2 has soft TV requirements compared to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When the Switch is docked and connected to a TV, it is only capable of outputting a 4K resolution signal at up to 60 frames per second. It can reach 120 frames per second if the resolution drops to 1080p, but the bit rate required for both of these options is almost the same. Oddly enough, it doesn't even receive VRR when docked – that's reserved for handheld mode only. However, the Switch 2 console will still benefit greatly from Samsung's excellent OLED panel.
