Giving Tuesday Is on 2 December

Giving TuesdayThis year, December 2 is a day around the world dedicated to giving back and empowering individuals and organizations to transform the lives of people and communities. For this year's event, IEEE And IEEE Foundation invite participants to invest in the organization's charitable programs. The programs aim to inspire the next generation of engineers by providing sustainable energy help those in need emergency response efforts and much more.

This Giving Tuesday, participants will have the opportunity to help amplify technological breakthroughs and innovative programs that change lives around the world.

Double your effect

The initial $75,000 donated to the Giving Tuesday campaign will be matched IEEE Foundationdollar for dollar, up to $170,000.

Donors may direct their gift to IEEE program they feel most connected to it or can direct their donation to the IEEE Foundation towards efforts that:

• Highlight the power of technology to solve global problems.
• Nurture the next generation of innovators and engineers.
• Reach a wider audience to see the impact of engineering developments.
• Drive innovation by celebrating excellence.
• Shape the destiny of the next generation.

Help shed light on your favorite program

Donating money isn't the only way to make an impact on IEEE Giving Tuesday. Here are a few more possibilities.

• Become community fundraiser and help promote your favorite IEEE charity program or IEEE Foundation within your network by creating a personalized page on the IEEE Foundation website. Once your page is set up, you can share it on your social media profiles and email them to your friends, family and professional contacts.
• Share, like and comment on Giving Tuesday posts on Facebook And LinkedIn before and on this day.
• Post an #Unselfie photo—a photo of yourself explaining why you support IEEE charitable programs—on social media using the hashtags #IEEEFoundation and #IEEEGivingTuesday. The Foundation provides tool set with social media templates and fundraising resources on your website.
