- Gemini for TV is coming to Google TV Streamer, with updates arriving today.
- If your device is eligible for the update, you'll be able to naturally communicate with Gemini to search the streamer's content.
- Google also said you'll be able to use Gemini to “bring learning to the biggest screen in your home.”
Google The assistant phase-out is still ongoing, and Twins is about to reign supreme among Google's products, and the next one to take over the Gemini mind is Google TV Streamer.
Google announced Monday in a blog post. that Gemini for TV will begin rolling out to Google TV Streamer over the next few weeks. The company unveiled its Gemini expansion plans for the first time to select TKL devices in September, from TCL QM9K is the first Google TV model to get the update.
Now that Gemini has finally arrived on Google TV Streamer, users will be able to make more complex voice queries, with the company saying that “Gemini for TV is more than just entertainment” and offers a variety of features.
Gemini for TV will now let you use your voice more naturally to access Google TV Streamer content. For example, if you and your partner or friend can't agree on a movie to stream, you can tell Gemini, “I like dramas, but my wife likes comedies. What movie can we watch together? and it will generate ideas for you – but that's not all.
If one of your favorite TV shows is coming back and you need a recap but you don't want to watch the entire season, try asking, “What happened at the end of the last season of Outlander?” and Gemini will bring you up to date. Alternatively, if you can't remember the name of a popular series but want to watch it, you can use the prompt: “What new hospital drama is everyone talking about?” to find the next TV show.
As mentioned, Google's blog says that Gemini for TV goes beyond entertainment, and you'll also have the ability to “bring learning to the biggest screen in your home,” as the company says. You can do this by asking a Gemini to explain certain educational topics to your children by asking, “Explain to my third grader why volcanoes erupt” – this could even help you with recipes and DIY projects with YouTube video.
Once Gemini for TV arrives on your Google TV Streamer, you can take advantage of its latest update by pressing the microphone button on your remote control. Additionally, you can check if the update is available on your Google TV Streamer device by going to Settings and Accounts & Profiles. From there, select “Voice Assistant” and you will find the “Gemini for TV” option if your device is eligible for the update.
