When it comes to gifts, the makeup icon favors personalization over price. “Think of something that people really love,” she said. “My helpers at work know how much I love caviar; it's one of my favorite gifts. I also appreciate a really good olive oil and a pair of soft cashmere socks. They're definitely on my list this year, both to give and receive.”
“I love simple things – the basics with a little luxury– she continues. — For me, one of my favorite gifts, which I can both give and receive, is a Louis Vuitton scarf. It's so simple and elegant. I have my eye on a few colors and this is the gift that always works.”
However, her most significant gifts are deeply personal. “My favorite gifts that are so simple are framed photographs of my grandchildren. I look at them every day,” she said. “One of my favorite photos is of my three boys at my son's wedding. They must have had a lovely cocktail because they all look so happy and hugging each other… but this is one of my favorite photos.”
