Do you think there are people who feel as passionate as sports fans when they add someone to their team who can make them better, but with video game developers? Probably not, or at least only on a personal level, but for that hypothetical group of people that exists, there has been a new exchange (I don't really know what you call athletes that way) between the team behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2and CD Projekt Red.
Karel Kohlmann announced today on his personal Twitter account that “Things are happening!“The fact is that he now works at CD Projekt Red as a senior quest designer. The Witcher 4 (Thank you, GamesRadar). While I can't tell you the exact missions Colmann worked on in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it's very handy. Post on LinkedIn tells us that he designed and wrote 11 of them, and also designed the game's crime system along with the stealth and NPC perception systems.
Any hint as to what kind of work he might be doing on The Witcher 4? There is literally no way to know! But he has some specific skills, so Ciri at least feels like it's possible to do something stealthy.
As it stands, we… don't really know that much about The Witcher 4. Here's what we do know: It's “more console-focused,” although it will be you can still melt your computerit will be created on Unreal Engine 5 and there's even a cool tech demoThis will not be released until 2027and it will be obviously explore sexism more directly with Ciri at the head. Considering that this is only a properly started development at the end of last yearwe're probably a long way off from getting any kind of gameplay trailer. I'm sure you can just play The Witcher 4 for the umpteenth time while you wait.
