Zakrzeske wrote Thursday night that he was followed throughout the game by Ann Arbor Skyline director Casey Elmore and was followed and harassed by fans. He called Ann Arbor Police and asked to send an officer just in case. The officer appeared at the match when it was already ending.
Fox News Digital has reached out to Ann Arbor Public Schools for comment.
“I really felt like this was a complete and utter failure of both the MHSAA public schools and Ann Arbor,” Zakrzeske told Fox News Digital. “For a principal who watches someone be harassed on her campus, on her property, and not only allows it to continue, but in some cases even encourages it, I don’t know how she can justify herself as an educator allowing these things to continue.”
Fox News Digital asked MHSAA about the status of the investigation into the situation, whether anyone had spoken to Zakrzeske about the incident, and whether security measures were in place to prevent harassment of another reporter.

“As of Friday afternoon, we were still gathering information about what was reported Thursday night, but we always prioritize safety at all of our sites, and of course that focus will continue this week,” MHSAA spokesman Jeff Kimmerly said in response. “I also passed on both of these messages to Dan.”
Kimmerly did not immediately respond to questions about details of the investigation, including whether officials had spoken with Zakrzeska or other people named in the report.
Zakrzeske said the MHSAA has not contacted him as part of its investigation into last week's incident.
Ann Arbor Skyline will compete at DeWitt High School on Tuesday at Mason High School at Mason in the state regional semifinals.
