Milan (AP) – Sylvia Venturini Fendi, who received complete creative control over the House of Fashion of the Heritage of her family after Kim Jones's departure, leaves this role and became a new: honorary president.
“What a wonderful journey was not only creatively, but also from a human point of view: first through my connection with Karl Lagerfeld, then with Kim Jones and the last, but no less important, with my fantastic team, which for many years became part of my family,” Venturini Fendi said in a statement published on Monday.
Jones left Fendi in October 2024. Venturini Fendi, 64 years old, headed the departments of both male and female departments, as well as accessories during the centenary of the company. She is in the third generation of Fendi's family.
“These were really exciting years, the journey that I went and in the name of my grandmother Adele, my mother Anna and her sisters,” she said.
Venturini Fendi has released its creative control in the Spring-Summer 2026 collection, having previously looked at Milan's fashion in Milan, which showed the craft and brand imagination. In her new role, she will focus on supporting the heritage and skill of the brand.
“Her vision brought Fendi from her Roman craft roots to the future, the culmination of which was the celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the house,” said Ramon, chairman and chief executive director of Fendi.
LVMH acquired a control share in Fendi in 2001.
