Indie game studio Astrow Games has announced that Portal Sentinels plans to release on PC via Steam in mid-2026. This 2D tower defense game with pixel graphics promises to offer you amazing strategy and rich tower evolution. Portal Sentinels brings a nostalgic twist to the classic tower defense formula, taking inspiration from the old-school custom maps of Warcraft 3. Players will have to capture enemy portals, outsmart incoming armies, and build complex labyrinths to keep their towers safe. Every move matters as positioning and planning determine whether your defense will hold up or crumble under pressure.
The game has three different modes: solo, co-op and versus. In single player mode, players can perfect their strategies at their own pace, while in co-op mode, friends can team up and defend their towers together. Versus mode makes the action competitive, where players must build mazes and send waves of enemies towards their opponents. Balancing attack and defense becomes a critical factor in these intense duels where only one defender will emerge victorious.
