Arc Raiders has once again broken the peak number of concurrent users on Steam, surpassing 400,000 for the first time this weekend.
Last week we reported that Arc Raiders surpassed its peak concurrent player count of 250,000 on Steam just one day after release.and then again on November 1, when the number of concurrent players exceeded 328,062, making it the most popular Steam release for a PvP extraction shooter ever.

Now, over the weekend, the Arc Raiders have once again broken their own record, reaching a new high. 416,517 concurrent users on Steam, making it the fifth highest-grossing game on Steam in the last 24 hours.
According to Alinea Analytics, market analysts believe that about 69.2 percent of the game's players are on Steam. This means that approximately 30 percent of the gaming base—17.3 percent on PlayStation and 13.5 percent on Xbox—is not included in this figure.
As for why Arc Raiders is so popular when other extraction shooters haven't reached such heights in terms of sales or player numbers? As Connor reported earlier this week, market analyst Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics believes that “Arc Raiders is great because it's community-focused, NOT because it's a loot shooter.”
IN Arc Raiders preview from Eurogamerwe wrote: “Arc Raiders is, simply put, a third-person shooter. It is a factory that mass-produces tense moments, inherently a source of intense anxiety: high stakes, devastating losses, ecstatic victories. Stepping back, it's a game of gradual self-improvement, both in your inventory full of resources and in your character's abilities, as well as your own know-how.”
