YouTube TV customers will receive a $20 apology credit for the ongoing blackout of Disney networks, including ESPN and ABC, if a new pricing agreement is not reached today (Nov. 9). The platform has become a popular source for live sports streaming.
The company's On-Demand streaming platform has been blocked from accessing such channels since Oct. 30, after Disney and YouTube parent company Google failed to agree on a new contract before the existing agreement expired. Over the past year, Disney has been negotiating higher contract fees and new pricing models with hundreds of distributors.
Followers were understandably disappointed by the ban, with many saying they would do so. cancel your membership and will move to competing platforms such as Disney-owned Hulu + Live TV unless the two companies come to an agreement soon. In response, YouTube told customers it would offer a discount if a deal was not reached. As of Saturday, the media giants are still in heated negotiations, with YouTube TV accusing the entertainment giant of negotiating in bad faith.

“We know subscribers are frustrated by the outages, and we continue to encourage Disney to work constructively with us to reach a fair agreement that restores their YouTube TV networks as soon as possible,” YouTube said in a statement.
How to Get $20 YouTube TV Credit
Luckily, YouTube TV subscribers won't have to do much to get the $20 credit, which, if you do some quick math, is about a quarter of the base monthly subscription fee.
YouTube says it's coming sending email to all clients instructions on how to apply the one-time credit to your next bill. The letters should be sent soon as the company has promised to issue all loans by Wednesday (November 12). According to the company, if the agreement is signed, service will be restored within hours.
