Die my love? More like Look my readers. There's actually a lot to dig into this week, probably because it's post-Halloween and everyone's social energy is running low. Pedro Pascal's summer déjà vu awaits us: two of his films and a new series from Breaking Bad's author and Guillermo del Toro Frankensteinwhich is about to be seen by the widest audience. Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson in a film together is a beautiful verdict for those who were teenagers in the 2010s. But instead of an epic franchise, these two are a couple in Lynne Ramsay's suffocating drama about a woman suffering from postpartum depression and isolation while moving from New York to Montana.

Guillermo del Toro's take on Mary Shelley's classic tale was a big hit in theaters. If you're unlucky enough to live in an area that doesn't have the show, now is the time to—well, stream it. Jacob Elordi is stunningly good as Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac). Del Toro is no stranger to monsters and great sceneryso you know what's in store for you when you tune in Frankenstein.
Vince Gilligan's first big project after Better call Saul reunites him with Rhea Seehorn in a mega-conceptual genre show that's very different from his recent work. Dan Trachtenberg's first film Predator movie, Productiona hunting-loving alien battled a Comanche warrior in 1700s America. Instead of restoring historical soil, he established Predator: Badlands in the future, but the main feature is that this time the main character will be the Predator. The young Predator must venture into a dangerous world in search of the most dangerous game of all to prove himself, meeting along the way a damaged android played by Elle Fanning. —James Greby

I believe this reality series was popular enough to warrant a second season. It's definitely a crazy enough idea to get people tuning in. That's just 456 normals competing for $4 million. Really strange thing.
next movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe won't be released until the very end of July next year, but Marvel's First Family takes its second step on Disney+ this week. Perhaps reliving Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the retro-futuristic adventure of the Thing will make the anticipation fly by a little faster. —J.G.
Mason Thames I saw that Pedro Pascal's crown had slipped a little and swooped in. But it was Pascal's summer in July when he Eddington, Fantastic FourAnd Materialists in cinemas. All three are currently streaming as Celine Song's unconventional romance…the drama will premiere on HBO Max this week. Pascal plays a suave rich man trying to woo matchmaker Lucy (Dakota Johnson). Chris Evans completes this love triangle as down-on-his-luck former actor Lucy.
