Amorim named manager of the month
Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim won October's Coach of the Month award and spoke ahead of Friday's game against Tottenham, expressing his delight at the trophy and recent results. “I’m very happy not only for my staff, but also for my players. I think they deserve all the credit for this award because at the end of the day, the coach who wins an award like this is not the best team, but the team that may be performing better that month. So I'm just expecting to win the next one because that's a sign that we've won the football games.”
What does Tottenham say?
Speaking ahead of the home match, Frank took time to reflect on his first months at the club: “It's going to be a job, there's no doubt about that. I think the first three months have been very exciting, a big learning curve, you're learning every single day. You come to a new club, you learn the players, you learn the staff, you learn about the club, you learn how it works, the fans, everything. But I think overall it's been good. I think that we are doing well enough to be able to get the number of points we got in the Champions League and the Premier League, competing on two fronts at the same time.”
