In addition to the millions of dollars it is shelling out, Cornell has agreed to conduct “annual studies to assess the campus climate for Cornell students, including the climate for students of general Jewish ancestry,” to find “experts on laws and regulations related to sanctions compliance, anti-money laundering, and terrorism financing prevention,” and to transmit “anonymized” undergraduate admissions data directly to the federal government.
The agreement also calls for Cornell to make Attorney General Pam Bondi available to the staff.Guidance for Federal Fund Recipients on Unlawful Discrimination“, a sweeping anti-woke memo designed to force universities to widely dismantle any kind of diversity, equity and inclusion policies and make the culture war-obsessed right feel better about itself.
Bondi's memo states that “it is unlawful to use race, gender, or other protected characteristics for employment, program participation, resource allocation, or other similar activities, opportunities, or benefits.” It also bans race-based scholarships, transgender participation in college sports and all cultural training.
