In the midst of EA’s controversial acquisition, Bioware moves to reassure fans that a new Mass Effect is definitely still in development

Bioware posted an N7 Day blog post today to reassure fans that the next Mass Effect The game is still in development, and the statement said the team “remains committed to telling more stories in this universe.”

Written by executive producer Mike Gamble. blog shows the team's hand, showing that the team is now completely focused on Mass Effect, and thanks Mess Effect fans for their support and patience.

Gamble wrote: “There's a huge universe to cover, a lot of features to create, and a lot of love stories to figure out. We're excited about what we're creating and we promise you that when we're ready, it will be a lot of fun to show.”

No new screenshots, no trailers, no gameplay. Nothing! But it's a sign of life in perhaps Bioware's most popular franchise, which comes at a particularly tender time for the company as its parent company. EA is in the process of a potential buyout from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund and private equity firms..

Gamble also blogged about the Mass Effect TV show, for which Bioware is partnering with Amazon. However, I repeat, there is nothing to show from the production yet.

However, there is an amusing paragraph about its progress: “The writers' room is picking up steam, and we've already learned a lot about how it fits into the Mass Effect canon and where it fits in relation to the new game. The show will explore a completely new story in the universe's timeline and will take place after the original trilogy. This won't be a re-release of Commander Shepard's story – because at the end of the day… it's YOUR story, isn't it?”

Gamble concluded the blog by pointing fans to social media as Mass Effect crossover cosmetics will appear in other EA games including Apex Legends And Skate. Finally, he promises fans that there are no secret messages on the blog. However, be sure to spend a few hours on it, why not. I'm sure Liara would like that.

The future of Mass Effect and Bioware has been up in the air lately. Some studio veterans believe that Bioware is creating: “games that this new company is no longer interested in making”. Still, there's a lot of love for both Mass Effect and Bioware, and it would be nice to see the remaining team get a big win, especially considering everything else.
