President Donald Trump boldly reaffirmed the wild claim that America is capable of creating a global nuclear holocaust.
The 79-year-old man was talking to reporters at the White House on Wednesday as he cited the results of his “amazing” meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping last week.
“My doctrine will be denuclearization because we have enough nuclear weapons,” Trump said, before boasting that the United States has the most nuclear weapons of any country, followed by Russia second and China third.
He noted that China is “far behind” but will catch up with Russia in five years because “they are working overtime on nuclear weapons.”

Trump added: “We could blow up the world 150 times, but we don't have to.” The president said he had spoken with Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin about a potential reduction in the global nuclear arms race.
“Everyone would like to spend all that money on other things… things that could benefit people now. So I think something like that could happen.”
“I want peace,” Trump added. “I want peace through force, but we want world peace. We are very close to achieving it. We had many wars raging that people did not know about. Now they are no longer raging.”
Trump accidentally announced Last month, Social Truth said America would resume nuclear testing after 33 years. The message was sent minutes before his meeting with the Chinese leader.

“The United States has more nuclear weapons than any other country. This was achieved, including a complete upgrade and renewal of existing weapons, during my first term in office,” Trump wrote. “Because of the enormous destructive power, I HATED doing it, but I had no choice!”
In the post, Trump also announced his nuclear rankings of America, Russia, and then China, and also pointed to China's growing arsenal of weapons.
“Because of other countries' testing programs, I have directed the War Department to begin testing our nuclear weapons on an equal basis,” Trump wrote. “This process will begin immediately.”
Speaking to reporters On Air Force One, shortly after his Truth Social post, Trump said, “We have more nuclear weapons than anyone. We don't test – we stopped testing years ago. Since others are testing, I think it's appropriate that we test too.”

The topic also resurfaced during Trump's speech. 60 minutes interview on Sunday, repeating many of the same phrases again.
“Well, we have more nuclear weapons than any other country. Russia is second. China is third, but in five years they will be equal,” Trump told host Norah O'Donnell.
“You know, they're doing them quickly, and I think we have to do something about denuclearization… and I've actually discussed this with both President Putin and President Xi. Denuclearization is a very big deal. We have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world 150 times.”
Although the exact number of nuclear weapons each country possesses is top secret, Fedited by American scientists says the United States and Russia currently possess approximately 87 percent of all nuclear weapons on the planet and 83 percent of the stockpiled warheads available for military use.
Arms Control Association As of January 2025, it is estimated that the United States has about 5,225 warheads, Russia has about 5,580, and China has 600.
