Gemini Deep Research comes to Google Finance, backed by prediction market data

Bet on it

Financial markets can turn in the blink of an eye, but AI cannot predict the future. However, Google seems to believe that people make reasonable predictions in the aggregate when money is on the line. That's why, as part of its financial update, Google has partnered with Kalshi and Polymarket, the current leaders in online prediction markets.

These platforms allow people to bet on almost anything. If you have a guess about when Google will release Gemini 3.0, when the government shutdown will end, or how many tweets Elon Musk will post this month, you can bet on it. You may make money, but most likely you will lose it.only 12.7 percent crypto wallets on Polymarket show profits.

Google says it will receive fresh forecast data from both sites, allowing Gemini to speculate about the future using the “wisdom of the crowd.” Google suggests typing “What will GDP growth be in 2025?” in the search field. Finance will receive the latest odds data from Kalsha and Polymarket to prepare a response, which may include graphs and charts based on people's bets. Naturally, Google does not promise the accuracy of these forecasts.

Google Finance's new AI features will be available to all users in the US in the next few weeks, and the service will debut in India starting this week. Likewise, market forecast data will arrive in the next couple of weeks. If that's not fast enough, you can sign up for early access via Google Labs Page.
