Hilary Duff Shares ‘Mature’ Single and Video

Hilary Duff is back – and older and wiser. Multihyphen shared it long-awaited single “Mature”. In this song, Duff takes a pop-rock stroll through the past, singing to a younger version of himself. “She looks like all your girls, but lighter. A little like me, but younger,” Duff says over a shimmering mix of synths and guitar lines.

“'Maturity' is a little conversation I'm having in the present with my younger self,” Duff said in a press release. “The two of us reflect on past experiences and send each other love. It's a laugh, a wink and a feeling of gratitude for standing firm,” she added.

Duff shared a new video along with the song. The video, directed by Lauren Dunn, features two versions of Duff; one twirls on stage in a gold, sequined dress, performing a song, while the other sits and watches from an empty hall. In a teaser for the single, Duff shared a clip of herself holding a butterfly and letting it fly away. The video ends with the same clip, which is a sentimental reference to her 2003 debut album.
