How well do you know your car? Hopefully pretty good. The reality is that we think we will know everything we need to know when we get our license. After all, we must be good drivers in modern traffic conditions. Car manufacturers are trying to give us more options so we can stay safe. Just take the incessant ringing that we hear when we forget to buckle up. It's annoying, but it reminds you to wear your seat belt, right?
There's a cool switch on cars, but you probably don't know about it. This was recently mentioned on social media and I was shocked.
If your car is submerged in water, it seems like you won't be able to get out. You're just stuck in a metal box. Not really…

There is a switch in the trunk that allows you to exit safely. Your vehicle is designed in such a way that the trunk faces upward when submerged in water. So you climb back up there. Most seats fold flat to help you get back there.

Here's another tip: headrests can be removed and used to break a window. This way, you'll never truly be trapped inside the car, whether it's submerged or there's another problem.
Familiarizing yourself with all of your car's safety features will help you become a confident driver. This will also prevent you from panicking in the event of a real emergency.
