GOLD COAST, Australia (AP) — Australia won the toss and decided to go first in the fourth Twenty20 international cricket match against India on Thursday.
The five-match series ended 1–1 after Australia won the second match by three wickets in Melbourne after losing the first match in Canberra.
India leveled the series with a five-wicket win over Hobart in the third match.
The hosts made four changes: Adam Zampa, Ben Dwarshuis, Glenn Maxwell and Josh Philippe arrived.
Maxwell returns from a wrist injury and replaces Travis Head, who has withdrawn from the remainder of the series to prepare for the match against England later this month.
India have named their unchanged team.
Opener Abhishek Sharma needs 39 runs to reach 1000 runs in T20 internationals. If Abhishek reaches the mark on Thursday at the Carrara Stadium, he will equal Virat Kohli's record of 27 innings as the fastest for India.
The final game will take place in Brisbane on Saturday.
