Looks like Halloween wishes PEAK players have paid off: a new Roots update has added zombies to the mix.
Zombie in PEAK they are essentially undead scouts who became infected with the spores and died. They will make your life very difficult while you are trying to rise to the top. To make matters worse, the zombie's bite will prove fatal and end your run prematurely.
However, you will have to get bitten and also healed if you want to get the Encounter the Undead badge.
How to Get the Undead Encounter Badge in PEAK
Encounter the Undead Icon PEAK involves being bitten by a zombie and then having the bite treated. Zombies usually live on level 02 of the Roots biome. They are not found in any other biome (and that’s good news). To find them, you will also have to cross the first level.
Zombies always lie on the ground and appear inactive. They only come alive (sort of) when you're near them. Of course, it is always impossible to avoid them. If they get close enough, they will bite and you will become infected.
If you remain infected for long, you yourself will become undead. What you need to do is heal yourself.
- Panacea for all problems is a great item to use as it instantly heals all your negative ailments, including zombie bite.
- Antidote seems to work too. This is likely because the zombie bite acts like a toxin on your body.
- The Roots update added something called mushrooms. These berries have effects based on their colors, which cycle with the cards. At the time of writing, the Red Mushroom Picker can cure you from a zombie bite. However, this may change later depending on what the developers have planned.
Once you cure the zombie bite and finish the run, you can get the Undead Encounter badge in PEAK. The Roots update has certainly added some serious challenges for players, and getting Applied esoterics badge can be a real challenge.
