The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays. a thrilling seven-game World Series this has transitioned to additional features several times.
Two days after the Dodgers cruised to a 5-4 win in Game 7 for back-to-back titles, the team celebrated with a championship parade in Los Angeles, but one player was noticeably absent.
Relief pitcher Alex Vecia left the team shortly before the start of the World Series and did not return to the field for any games.
Dodgers recently reported that Vecia and his wife Kayla were facing a “deeply personal matter” that would require him to spend an undisclosed amount of time away from the team.

“The entire Dodgers organization is sending thoughts to the Vecia family and we will provide an update at a later date,” the spokesperson said. the team said in a statement October 23.
In April, the couple shared the news of Kayla's pregnancy and confirmed that they were expecting a girl. A few months later they published several photos on documentation on social networks pregnancy.
On October 18, the last message from the 29-year-old MLB player or his wife was published. Both shared photos of themselves preparing for the World Series.

Vecia's teammate, Will Klein, mentioned Alex and Kayla after the Dodgers won back-to-back World Series titles.
“We all sent him a message,” Klein said, referring to teammates reaching out to Vecia. “We just want him to know that he is in our hearts and we did all this for him.

“It's a big part of why we're here, and so just to be able to get that for them — there are tougher places to be than on the World Series mound,” Klein added. “So what they're going through is not good.”
Klein also noted that the Blue Jays paid tribute to Vesa.

“This is bigger than baseball,” he said. “And it was really cool for him to be a part of it.”
Vesia took part in 68 regular season matches and seven postseason games this season.
