The newest biome of the Peak has finally arrived. There are also a ton of new badges available, greatly expanding the number of cosmetics you can use to decorate your Scout. The Roots update adds 11 new icons to the hiking hit.
Badges include completing a new biome, eating new types of consumables, and using new items to help save the fragile lives of your friends. The list of new awards includes:
- Pass by the roots
- Move past the roots without having more than 25% spores.
- Get out of the web and survive
- Cure from a zombie bite
- Try all 5 types of mushrooms in one expedition.
- Pull an unconscious friend out 30 meters using the Rescue Claw.
- Block 100 total damage with Fortified Milk.
- Eat 3 hot dogs in 5 seconds or less.
- Resurrect a friend through unholy means
- Jump from a mushroom to a height of 40 meters.
- Cook and eat mandrake
As you can see, the new update brings even more features while climbing. Achievement hunters who previously collected all the badges will now face even greater challenges with the Roots update.
This new update will bring players back to the Peak. The breakthrough co-op multiplayer game Landfall currently has over 50,000 players I'm trying to climb through the new Roots biome. While this is not quite close to the peak of 170,000 players, it is still a significant number of players.
