PSG’s Achraf Hakimi exits in tears after wild Luis Díaz tackle

Paris Saint-Germain defender Ashraf Hakimi he was helped off the field in tears after his ankle was turned by a hard tackle Bayern Munich's Luis Diaz on Monday at the Parc des Princes.

Diaz scored twice for Bayern in the first half of the Champions League match between the two leading teams and then made a rash challenge from behind on Hakimi, which earned the Bayern striker a straight red card after a VAR review.

Bayern won the game 2–1 and finished top of the Champions League standings.

Earlier in the first half Ousmane Dembele was removed from the game after scoring what appeared to be the first goal of the game. Since the goal was checked by VAR, France International seemed uncomfortable.

The goal was disallowed for offside, leaving Bayern to maintain a 1-0 lead as Dembele made way for Lee Kang In before heading straight down the tunnel to the locker room.

Diaz scored Bayern's second goal to give the visitors a 2-0 lead before being booked late in the half. Morocco defender Hakimi left the field in tears and was unable to apply pressure to his left leg after Diaz rolled his ankle during a two-foot tackle.

Dembélé was out for six weeks from early September until he returned on 20 October from a hamstring injury he suffered while playing for France in a 2–0 win over France. Ukraine in World Championship qualifying.

It is not known whether Dembele was injured again on Tuesday.

Coach Luis Enrique assured ahead of the game that Dembele was fit to play, while PSG were also without striker Désiré Douhet due to a right thigh injury.
