Ryan Dinwiddie is inducted into the Boise State Athletics Hall of Fame.
The six-foot-one, 195-pound passer played four collegiate seasons with the Broncos, completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 9,819 yards, 82 touchdowns and 21 interceptions. He went 28-6 as a starter, leading the team to two bowl victories and two AP Top 25 finishes.
Dinwiddie remains the program's all-time single-season passing leader. He also ranks second in career total touchdowns, third in career passing yards and third in career passing yards.
The 44-year-old played for the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent, although he never played in a regular season NFL game. He played five CFL seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders, throwing for 2,531 yards, 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
Dinwiddie has been coaching in the CFL since 2013, including five years as head coach of the Toronto Argonauts. Under his leadership, the team went 51-35, finishing first in the East Division three times and winning two Gray Cups.
The Elk Grove, Calif., native will be inducted along with basketball player Derrick Marks, football coach Chris Petersen, gymnast Shani Remme, track and field athlete Christy Schoffield and soccer player Ramey Scherl.
The date of the ceremony has not yet been announced.
