Hvmana Industries MMD and indie.io officially released Old Tales: Dominus on PC via Steam today. It's a dark medieval RPG that combines open world exploration and strategic settlement management. The game takes place in one of the darkest eras of humanity, when the corrupt know the rules of unlimited power. The game tells the dark story of Eric Waldham, a man seeking revenge after his village is destroyed for violating oppressive prima nocta laws.
Players step into Erik's worn-out boots as he rises from the ashes of his past to survive a broken kingdom. Survival requires realism, capturing enemy settlements, collecting resources through gathering and crafting, and fortifying strongholds against marauders. The aftermath of the Battle of the Bride plunged the kingdom into chaos. This allowed small groups of rebels to rise up undetected and challenge the crumbling order.
Tales of Old: Dominus offers players the freedom to determine Eric's fate. They can follow the path of a warrior, ranger, rogue, vanguard, or craftsman, or combine skills to develop unique strategies.
