Disney+ Canada price increase takes effect this week

Last month Disney Announces Price Increase for Disney+ in Canada and now, that time has come.

With this change, the price of Disney+ Standard will increase to $15.99 per month (previously $12.99 per month), and the Premium price will now cost $16.99 per month (currently $15.99 per month). Disney+ Standard with ads remains unchanged at $8.99 per month.

As previously confirmedthese new prices actually went into effect on September 30th for new monthly and annual subscribers. However, for those who are actively subscribed, these changes will begin to be seen in November.

For anyone with a monthly subscription, the new prices will appear in your billing cycle on or after November 4th. Meanwhile, those who sign up annually will be charged higher costs in their billing cycle on or after November 25th.

Disney first announced price increases for Disney+ in the US at the end of Septemberwith Canada, UK and other markets now also affected. For context, The last price increase for Disney+ in Canada occurred last October. and saw that all three levels increased by $1. This was the streamer's second trip in 2024.

It all happens like Disney makes Hulu available worldwideincluding in Canada. However, this is just a rebranding of the previous Star brand that was used in international markets and hence the actual content which includes titles like Only murders in the building And Kardashianremains the same.
