Save humanity in Slaves to Magic
After over four years of dedicated work, Amethyst Dreamers is finally ready to release Slaves to Magic. Released on November 3, this medieval fantasy game combines the tension of tactical combat with the immense power of strategic command, offering an experience reminiscent of XCOM series, forging its own mysterious path.
The story takes place in a world torn apart by invaders from another dimension. Their arrival brings not only devastation, but also the power of magic they wield to enslave most of humanity. As one of the few remaining free, players must gather survivors, form a resistance, and strike back at their magical oppressors. Each decision shapes the fate of the rebellion and the fragile remnants of humanity.
The gameplay takes place in two different layers. Tactical missions allow players to control a squad of six to eight resistance fighters, where every move and spell can determine who lives and who dies. Beyond the battlefield lies a strategic campaign in which players will manage bases, distribute troops, craft equipment, and conduct vital research to strengthen the rebellion.
Slaves of Magic will be released on Steam with its own version for Windows. It has been tested and verified to run smoothly on Linux via Steam Proton. The game can also be played on the Steam Deck, although this will require the use of a virtual mouse.
Through a combination of dark fantasy storytelling and deep tactical gameplay, Slaves of Magic Amethyst Dreamers invites players to fight for freedom in a world ruled by otherworldly forces.
