Indie studio PenGames has released a new trailer for its upcoming game ULTRA0, offering a first look at the game's fast-paced 3D shooter action. Now available as a wishlist on Steam, ULTRA0 combines easy-to-learn mechanics with intense combat against colossal monsters in a world on the brink of extinction.
The story takes place in the N Nation and follows the desperate struggle for survival after giant creatures known as kaiju began ravaging the land ten years ago. As humanity's defenses crumble, a group of young girls take up arms to protect what's left. Players step into the role of Shirogane, an elite warrior from Unit 81, a skilled fighter who has repeatedly risked his life to hold the front line. When a new and unknown kaiju appears, Shirogane must once again face the impossible.
The gameplay is focused on smooth and accessible combat. Players simply move to aim and their weapons automatically fire at enemies. A single button fires powerful bombs and special skills, allowing players to focus on dodging and positioning during frantic fights. Collecting supplies provides valuable upgrades, and some can even multiply, offering bursts of power when you need it most. Between missions, players can purchase items from the in-game store to enhance their abilities.
Each chapter introduces a new protagonist, expanding the story of the last defenders of the N Nation as they fight for survival. ULTRA0 combines a simplified control system with the thrill of hunting huge monsters, promising an accessible and exciting action experience.
