‘1000-lb Sisters’ Star Amy Slaton Marries Fiancé Brian Lovvorn

Amy Slayton and her fiancé Brian Lovvorn are married!

The 1,000 Pound Sisters star tied the knot on Friday, October 31, less than a year after getting engaged, according to People.

Slayton and Lovvorn's Halloween ceremony took place at Talbott's Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky. it is believed to be haunted.

“My wedding is a dream that has finally come true,” Slayton told the publication. “I will find my happiness!”

Slayton and Lovvorn had a small, intimate wedding in an “old fashioned” atmosphere, with a theme of “Victorian style meets light gray and dusty blue and white.”

For the occasion, Slayton wore a sleeveless white dress paired with a simple veil attached to the back of her hair. The bodice of the dress was decorated with delicate appliqués with floral and grape motifs.

Lovvorn also fit the theme as he wore a dark tailcoat paired with black trousers, a white shirt and a black bow tie.

Slayton completed her look with bright hair color at her husband’s request. She told People that she dyed her hair a “special color” for the wedding. previously told the publication, “Brian wants me to have pink hair for my wedding, but I want a Victorian hairstyle.”

The couple waited until the wedding cortege to see each other on their special day and exchanged traditional vows during the ceremony.

Slayton said that “getting married means I'm no longer single because I've discovered that my soulmate Brian is my happy place!”

“Once you get to know him, you will find that he is the sweetest, most caring person you will ever have the pleasure of knowing,” she added.

Lovvorn and Slayton first met at a concert in the park. However, Slayton told People magazine that she knew Lovvorn was “the one” when he met her children.

Slayton is the mother of two sons with ex-husband Michael Halterman: Gage, born November 2020and Glenn, born in July 2022.

Slayton recalled how Lovvorn put a ring on her finger while she was sleeping, just two weeks into their relationship.

“I was shocked at first and said yes, but only if the real proposal was at a haunted house on Halloween,” she recalls.

They eventually got engaged towards the end of 2024, although the special moment played out during a May 2025 episode of 1000 Pound Sisters. After five months of dating, Lovvorn popped the question at a haunted house in Kentucky with Slaton's sisters Tammy and Misty as witnesses.

The TLC star said she's thrilled her engagement will “end soon.” She said the couple were planning a “small, quirky” wedding and that they had both “always wanted to get married on Halloween.”

Slayton looked forward to calling Lovvorn her husband and “spending the rest of my life with him.”

“Our engagement may be short, but our marriage will last forever!” she added.
