Well, Sea of Thieves Season 18 has been pushed back to December and, guess what, players aren't happy about it.
In a video update, production director Drew Stevens announced that “nothing will go as planned” with Sea of Thieves Season 18 and that the new season will now be part of the game's December update, which does not yet have a firm release date.
“It's quite remarkable that the move to a slightly different approach to releasing content and the change in appearance of some trade journeys this season seem to have completely wiped out the release schedule, a rarity that never fails to impress,” the post reads. top comment on Reddit, receiving almost 250 upvotes at the time of writing.

While this isn't 100% fair, given what I said earlier about seasons usually coming on time, This onemy favorite: “Seasons may be delayed, but those “delayed seasonal” releases always arrive on time.”
In case it's not clear, Sea of Thieves players aren't just excited because another season has been delayed; it's also a lack of diversity. And yes, honestly, it's been a while since we've had something on the level of A Pirate's Life with a Jack Sparrow theme in 2021. However, I'll refrain from digging too much here, as Sea of Thieves remains a wonderful interactive pirate sandbox that has changed in huge, positive and fundamental ways since launch.
