A fishing adventure awaits in DREADMOOR
Publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment teams up with developer Dream Dock Studio to publish DREADMOOR. This is a fishing horror adventure set in a thrilling post-apocalyptic world. The partnership marks an important step towards bringing the game's eerie vision and special atmosphere to players around the world.
Since its release in April 2025, DREADMOOR has captured the attention of fans of dark, thrilling adventures. In just ten days, more than 40,000 wishlists were collected on Steam. And now the game is among the 600 most desired games on the platform, despite limited marketing. Given this early momentum, the project is moving towards a planned full release in the fourth quarter of 2026.
DREADMOOR combines horror, survival and fishing to offer a unique first-person experience. Players will explore the flooded wasteland, uncovering secrets on both land and sea. Anglers will face the unknown as they catch otherworldly creatures lurking beneath the waves, crafting survival gear, and coping with the psychological stress of a broken world. Taking inspiration from DREDGE, Metro Exodus and Resident Evil, the game combines cinematic storytelling, eerie exploration and addictive mechanics.
“We're creating an IP that goes far beyond fishing in the apocalypse” – said Rostislav Fedorov, CEO of Dream Dock Studio. “Partnering with Digital Vortex Entertainment allows us to scale production, refine the vision, and bring the madness of DREADMOOR to a global audience.”
“At Digital Vortex Entertainment, we were captivated by Dream Dock's clear vision for the game and their approach to creating an exciting fusion inspired by Lovecraftian horror and post-nuclear survival. This is a unique and powerful project, and we are excited to help bring their dark and beautiful world to a wider audience.” said Alex Izotov, CEO of Digital Vortex Entertainment.
