To make sure you're using the best keyboard shortcuts and mouse settings in Arc Raiders, check out the guide below, which is just one of several. Arc Raiders Tips we recommend.
Best Keyboard Shortcuts in Arc Raiders
Let's start with the keyboard shortcuts, since this is one of the first menus you'll see after entering Settings (it's called Controls). Unlike some other loot games or multiplayer shooters, Arc Raiders is pretty straightforward when it comes to key bindings. There are only a few important keyboard shortcuts that you'll want to change, but they can make a huge difference in whether you survive or die during a firefight with an enemy.

- Dodge Roll: Mouse button 4/5 or left Alt if you don't have mouse buttons.

We haven't changed too many of the default keyboard shortcuts in Arc Raiders, but we've given you a few options, some of which we've changed. For example, the roll dodge mechanic works great if you have a mouse button on the side, but left alt also works great. We've also replaced the “unarmed” key combination with “4” as it's easier to remember since you can equip other weapons with the previous three number key combinations.
Best Mouse Settings in Arc Raiders
Now let's look at the mouse settings in Arc Raiders, which boil down to sensitivity settings. If you want to further customize your mouse and sensitivity, you should refer to any mouse software you have installed on your computer. This allows you to fine-tune DPI, disable anti-aliasing/mouse acceleration, and customize hotkeys if desired.
Below you can see our recommended mouse settings in Arc Raiders:
- Invert input vertical view: Off
- Horizontal sensitivity: 65-70
- Vertical sensitivity: 50
- Zoom sensitivity multiplier: 75%
- Zoom sensitivity multiplier: 85%

We decided to increase the horizontal sensitivity by 15-20 from the default value. Having higher horizontal sensitivity allows you to spin faster if you're being shot at by an enemy behind you, or perhaps catch a spider running towards you before you quickly and suddenly die.
Moving on, the zoom sensitivity multiplier has been reduced by 25% to allow for more accurate aiming, while the scope's zoom sensitivity multiplier has also been reduced, but not as radically. You still want to be able to move relatively quickly when using a large scope, but you also don't want your sensitivity to be too high that you miss the target when aiming.
Of course, these sensitivity values will likely need to be adjusted depending on the native resolution of your mouse. You'll want to make sure you type this before you try to mess with your mouse settings in Arc Raiders. If you already have a good mouse DPI, try using our sensitivity values as a baseline and gradually increase or decrease it.
