Senators Rand Paul, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and former Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell joined Democratic senators in the vote, which ended 50-46, CNN reported.
The vote came a day after the US Senate approved another resolution to end tariffs on Brazil.
Remember, these four Republican elected officials also voted against tariffs last April.
This resolution aims to end customs tariffs by repealing the presidential decree.
However, the resolution may be symbolic as it may not be considered by the US House of Representatives, CNN reported.
Donald Trump announced a 10% hike in tariffs on Canadian imports following an announcement by the Ontario government criticizing its tariff policies last week.
