Justin Fields led New York Jets to a wild win over the Cincinnati Bengals on the road last weekend.
But the struggling team's first win of the season wasn't enough to solidify his position as the starting quarterback heading into the bye week.

Fields was the Jets' starter for seven winless weeks in his first season with the team. But, entering week 8 against Bengals, There have been multiple reports that backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor will get the nod against Cincinnati.

Taylor's injury forced the Jets to pivot, putting Fields back in the driver's seat.
Things took a surprising turn as Fields went 21 of 32 for 244 yards and a touchdown and 31 yards on 11 carries in a thrilling 39-38 victory. He also walked and ran for a two-point conversion.
Fields' outstanding play has naturally led to speculation about what the organization will do next at the quarterback position. On Monday, Glenn seemed unwavering in his decision.

“I think you know what my answer to that question would be,” Glenn said when asked if Fields would start against Cleveland on Nov. 9. “It's the bye week and we're going to focus on ourselves. And, look, I have time to make this decision. Again, that's one of the good things about bye week.
“But seriously, man, this gives us a chance to really just hone in on the good, the bad and the ugly and try to figure out those things because we know we have a path forward.”
Fields spoke about his emotions about the season after the victory: One day during the week, he lay on the floor of his closet and cried.

“Football is football,” he said, “but it wasn’t just about the journey and how we got to this point and how to face adversity and fight through adversity.”
The Jets will have some time to reflect on the win before returning home to take on their opponent. Browns, who face the defender's dilemma.
