Asleep at the wheel of a car before arrest

NFL Legend Adrian Peterson was seen slumped behind the wheel of his SUV Sunday morning, just minutes before he was arrested for drunk driving.
The former Minnesota Vikings star was spotted dozing in the driver's seat while driving to a gas station in Sugar Land, Texas. The witness who photographed the former football player at the scene speaks out. TMZ Sport The 40-year-old man's engine was still running as he slept and his phone was still in his hand.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to us that officers did find Peterson that way.
We're told that when officers arrived on the scene, they removed him from the car and checked him for potential DUI.
Law enforcement sources say he showed signs of intoxication during questioning… and later blew up field sobriety tests. We're also told a gun was found in his car.
Peterson was ended up booked to the Fort Bend County Jail on two separate charges: one count of driving under the influence and one count of illegally carrying a weapon.
Court records show he was released from custody late Monday.
Peterson, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. once before this year – has not yet publicly commented on this issue.
