Pengame Just Dropped a Brand-New Gameplay Trailer

Find out what's coming to Pengame

Indie studio Rogue Relay has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Pengame, a hand-drawn 2D platformer shooter. The trailer dives into the game's intense combat, showcasing chaotic encounters filled with enemies, unusual weapons, and dynamic abilities brought to life through fluid stop-motion animation.

Originally debuting on Steam Greenlight back in 2013, Pengame stood out with its distinctive art style and fully animated visuals. Its long development period was spent perfecting both the fast-paced action and the meticulous craftsmanship of each frame. With the recent launch of the Steam Store page, players can now wishlist the game as it prepares for release.

At its core, Pengame is a side-scrolling shooter that turns a simple notepad into a battleground of creativity. Players take control of Stickman, a heroic doodle born from the imagination of a bored student. The student's sketchbook depicts a world full of monsters and challenges. However, he disturbs his peace when he accidentally draws his worst creation, an abomination known only as the Teacher. Armed with quick reflexes and a collection of hand-drawn weapons, Stickman must navigate through pages of destruction to erase the bug that threatens his world.

With hand-crafted animation and a nostalgic concept, Pengame combines artistic passion and explosive gameplay to create a world that feels as alive as the imagination that created it.
