Subnautica 2 and PUBG publisher Krafton bills itself as an “AI-focused company.”
The publisher said it will “prioritize artificial intelligence as a central and core enabler of problem solving” and “drive change in individuals and organizations, improve company-wide productivity and accelerate corporate value growth in the medium to long term.”
In Korean statement translated by machine, the company said that as part of this effort, it will undertake a “complete” reorganization and invest $69.7 million/KRW 100 billion in a new GPU cluster for “sophisticated reasoning and iterative planning.”
Another $20.8 million / 30 million won was also allocated to retrain employees to use artificial intelligence tools.
“Starting today, Krafton will automate agent-based AI-based work and fully implement an AI-centric management system, where participants will focus on creativity and solving complex problems,” said Krafton CEO Kim Chang Han.
“We will move forward as a company that drives member growth and expands the organization's mission areas through the use of artificial intelligence.”
